New Solar LED Street Light

LED Solar Street lights similar to these will light up Latin America and Mexico
A new solar LED street light that can light up the infrastructure of developing regions like the Caribbean, Mexico and Latin America is being developed by Carmanah Technologies. The EG300-series LED streetlight is part of a new generation of solar LED lights that will meet roadway performance features for global sun-belt regions.
The new solar LED street light will provide bright illumination at a price that is not prohibitive for developing countries. In fact, because solar lighting operates off the grid, it does not require expensive trenching or wiring and is more affordable than hard-wired lighting systems. Perhaps more importantly, the LED street lights will be able to reach stretches of roadways to which the electrical grid does not reach, or where the grid is unreliable, improving safety for drivers and pedestrians.
The EG300 solar streetlight can deliver the light output equivalent to a 200-watt metal halide light (used for standard streetlight settings). The EG300-series comes in two product sizes. The LED fixtures are available in standard IES distribution types, are dark-sky friendly, and feature excellent uniformity, according to product information. They can be used for roadways and parking areas. The EG300-series can withstand extreme environmental conditions, including hurricane-level winds, tropical heat and humidity, and heavy precipitation.
