Its day 3 of our top 5 solar gift ideas!  Solar garden lights are growing in popularity due to their ease of installation, use and power-saving technology.  There are many versions of landscaping lights that are now solar powered.  Personally, I am not a fan of the black, plastic garden light stakes.

You don’t have to shop online for solar garden lights, however.  Most hardware stores and home improvement outlets carry many versions of the popular landscaping lights.  The solar powered lights can be used to illuminate walkways, porches or decks.  Place them around a hot tub or spa, or intersperse the lights with your favorite flowers or shrubs to highlight your favorite specimens.
